ABOUT THE ARTIST:

IMG-9744.jpg

Sana Dua is an artist based out of New Delhi. Born and brought up in India, she pursued her undergrad from UCL, London, UK and holds an honorary degree in Economics. Since arriving on the professional art scene in 2015, she has worked hard to capture and intrigue the art community. She gathers much of her inspiration from personal experiences, the environment and the cultures around the world.

To hone her skills and to deepen her knowledge, she has pursued and completed multiple short courses ranging from art history to detailed portrait study to life drawing. She has taken part in various exhibitions and has also had her work selected for the 88th All India Art Exhibition. She also works alongside interior designers to create art that suits the sensibilities of modern home spaces.

One of her defining principles is establishing an open dialogue between form and function in all aspects of her artwork. She works mostly with acrylics and soft pastels to create her pieces. Her style can be closely related to post- impressionism and modernism.

"Art teaches me patience. It trains my mind through the eyes. Each colour brings with it a new joy. From picking up a pencil to the last stroke of my brush, it is a wholesome feeling. The aim is to keep creating art that inspires me, is reflective of good ideals and stirs emotions in the viewers"
